This 60 minute whole body class blends Yoga and Pilates foundations to strengthen and lengthen.  Maria's class is suitable for both more advanced students, as well as beginners with a focus on alignment, flow, and targeted strength building.  Yogalates is a time efficient, mind-body method to improve postural alignment, stabilize your spine, and increase circulation and energy. Your body will feel longer, stronger, and energized!

Maria Phegan is a 200-Hour Certified Kripalu Yoga Teacher and a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with the Yoga Alliance, as well as a professional ballet dancer.  Maria's classes are accessible to all by providing a nurturing, non-intimidating environment for the individual to learn the foundations of yoga and grow at his or her own pace.

Alignment Flow Yoga

Alignment Flow Yoga classes are open to practitioners of all ages, experience levels, and abilities. Each session guides participants through a series of breath-led postures and transitions with carefully instructed alignment and cues that help students mindfully attune to their own bodies' sensations. This practice is equal parts strengthening, stretching, challenging, and calming.

Aya Movement (breathe, move, restore)

Tuesdays 10:00-11:00 a.m. and Saturdays 4:00-5:00 p.m.

Aya Movement is a moving meditation practice. Each class begins with 20 minutes of gradually expanding, breath-synched transitions between familiar, structured yoga postures. This builds into 20 minutes of free moving meditation, which lets each participant expend stuck physical and emotional energy using individually determined movements, pacing, and intensity. Each class then winds down with 20 minutes of restorative yoga postures to offer students a deeply restful, calming experience.
